Elizabeth in 1486, however he delayed it 3 months after his coronation to avoid Elizabeth (daughter of Edward IV uniting the Yorkist+Lancastrians) being seen as the reason for his reign.

4 children. In 1500 his youngest son Edmund died, then in 2012 his heir to the throne Arthur died, thus removing marriage alliance with Spain. Then his wife Elizabeth died (1503) when giving birth to his daughter).

Controlled nobility mostly with bonds+recognisances (paid to ensure good behaviour), to stop/reduce nobility rebellion + accession issues.

Imprisoned Yorkists with a better claim, i.e. Earl of Warwick in the Tower, whilst those with doubting loyalty were stripped of their land and titles.
