The current is not directly proportional to the voltage. A filament lamp is not an Ohmic conductor.

The filament gets hot causing the resistance to increase.

What is a diode?
A component that lets the current flow in only one direction. This is because it has a very high resistance in the opposite direction.

The current is not directly proportional to the voltage. A diode is not an Ohmic conductor.
