What is the first step in forming lymphatic tissue fluid?
Fluid is forced out of the capillaries via pressure filtration, which occurs because the volume of blood attempting to enter the narrow capillaries creates a high hydrostatic pressure.
1 of 5
What is the second step in forming lymphatic tissue fluid?
Substances in the tissue fluid diffuse into the cells.
2 of 5
What is the third step in forming lymphatic tissue fluid?
The water potential inside the capillaries decreases due to the new substances.
3 of 5
What is the fourth step in forming lymphatic tissue fluid?
Water diffuses back into the capillaries from the tissue fluid.
4 of 5
What is the fifth step in forming lymphatic tissue fluid?
All of the excess tissue fluid flows into the lymphatic system.
