What is the structure of smooth endoplasmic reticulum?
Consists of flattened membrane bound sacs
1 of 21
What is the function of smooth endoplasmic reticulum?
Involved in making lipids that the cell needs
2 of 21
What is the structure of rough endoplasmic reticulum
Series of flattened membrane bound sacs, also studded with ribosomes
3 of 21
What is the function of rough endoplasmic reticulum?
Rough endoplasmic reticulum transports proteins that were made on attached ribosomes. Some will be secreted from the cell and some will be placed on the cell surface membrane
4 of 21
What is the structure of lysosomes?
These are spherical sacs surrounded by a single membrane.
5 of 21
What is the function of lysosomes?
Lysosomes contain powerful digestive enzymes. Their role is to break down materials.
6 of 21
What is the structure of centrioles?
These are small tubes of protein fibres
7 of 21
What is the function of centrioles?
Centrioles take part in cell division. They form fibres known as the spindle, which move chromosomes during nuclear division.
8 of 21
What is the function of the nucleus ?
The nucleus is where all the cell
9 of 21
What is the function of mitochondria?
Mitochondria are the site where adenosine triphosphate (ATP) is produced during respiration
10 of 21
What is the structure of ribosomes?
These are tiny organelles. Some are in the cytoplasm and some are bound to ER. Each ribosome consists of two subunits.
11 of 21
What is the function of ribosomes?
Ribosomes are the site of protein synthesis in the cell
12 of 21
What is the structure of Golgi apparatus?
The structure of Golgi apparatus is a stack of membrane-bound flattened sacs
13 of 21
Where is the chloroplast found?
These are found only in plant cells.
14 of 21
What is the function of chloroplasts?
Chloroplasts are the site of photosynthesis in plant cells.
15 of 21
What is the inner membrane of a chloroplast like?
The inner membrane is continuous with an elaborate network of flattened membrane sacs called thylakoids.
16 of 21
What is a stack of thylakoids called?
A stack of thylakoids is called a granum
17 of 21
Plant cell vacuoles are filled with cell sap and are very important in keeping the cell ______
Turgid
18 of 21
What is the cytoskeleton?
This is a network of protein fibres extending throughout all eukaryotic cells, used for support, transport and motility.
19 of 21
What is Undulipodium?
Undulipodium is a long flexible tail present in some cells and used for motility.
20 of 21
What is the difference between Flagella and Cilia?
Flagella are longer than the cell and there are usually only one or two of them while cilia are identical in structure but are much smaller and there are usually very many of them.

its a good quiz but you need to make your questions more clear i.e. question 19. what is the strcture of a cholorplast? answer. both of the above.

you are not asking where the cholorplast can be found your asking about the structure which is the second answer and not both.

Okay fair enough, I'll change that, thanks for the constructive criticism :)

Just a few points i think need clarification. Q 11 on the function of a nucleolus, you said the answr is both of them, however i feel that he first answer is correct not the second. This is because the nucleolus never actually leaves the nucleus even for mitosis, it simply disappears allowing the chromosomes to become visible etc therefore cannot be both answers.

Futhermore Q 9, the last answer is still unfinished but i mean you can guess the that if it is not he first than it is the other option.

Anyway amazing test, way harder than i thought it would be, thumbs up for this 5/5 lol

I agree with the comment above, great quiz but the questions mentioned need sorting out!

Q11 - I do not think I made it clear but it was meant to be like an extension to the previous answer, so that answer was talking about the RNA and ribosomes passing into the cytoplasm etc, and not the nucleolus.

But I'll change it to make it more clear,

Q9 - Yeah, when I wrote that answer it was finished but somehow some of it went missing lol, and I meant to fill it back in, but didn't lol

And thanks :) glad it helped
