No, it is a set of beliefs and a practise.

Who is a Shaman?
A man/woman who practises Shamanic healing is a Shaman. Shamans are travellers/avatars between the human realm and the spirit realm.

What do Shamans do?
A Shaman performs rituals involving spirits, go in a trance-like state, use an animal spirit guide for assistance, leave the physical body to enter the spiritual realm, and use divination to tell the future.

What is the definition of Shamanism?
There are four definitions. The main one is the belief of those that can contact the spiritual world in an altered state of consciousness.

What is the earliest account of Shamanistic practise?
From the Palaeolithic times. A cave contained drawings, rock artefacts, stone figures, and the remains of drums and drumsticks.

What is ASC and how is it achieved?
An "Altered State of Consciousness". This is done via meditation.

All levels: Physical, Spiritual, and Emotional.

Drumming, chanting, songs, and story-telling.

What is soul extraction?
A shaman will enter the spirit realm and check the person's soul for attached entities that may be affecting them. If any are found, they are removed. The Shaman sucks out the evil that is hurting their soul.

What is soul leading?
Sometimes spirits will get "lost". The Shaman guides these lost spirits to the underworld

How does dream interpretation work?
Those with reoccurring or disturbing dreams will describe the dream to the Shaman. The Shaman will listen and listen until he/she is confident that they can dream it themselves. They do so, to understand it better.

How does a Shaman use Divination and what is it for?
Shamans communicate with the spirits via ASC to gain knowledge of the future. Shamans use many different tools to do this.

How does a Shaman use hands-on healing?
The Shaman sees the soul of every living thing and therefore knows what is hurting, massaging the area to help the person.

How is herbal healing used?
Many Shamans used to use specific plants to help enter a trance state. Nowadays, herbs such as Cedar are used for cleansing and smudging.
