I was lead to believe that Baylis et al 1996 found that lesions in rat affecting malfunction in VMH can cause obesity?

I was also lead to believe that Herman and Mack (1975) conducted the 'Preload/Taste Test'.
They gave a group of dieters either a high or low calorie pre-load. They found that dieters given a high pre-load tended to eat more in the taste-test than non-dieters.
