All life is a gift from Allah and children are a gift too. Allah controls when birth takes place and all life is in his hands.

'It is Allah who gives you life and gives you death' (Qur'an)

Once a life has been created no one has the right to take that away

'whoever severs the womb will...i will sever my ties with them' (Qur'an)

All life is sacred -Tawhid. Everythig belongs to Allah including a Muslim's body, which are on loan from him and need to be cared for.

Abortion goes against this idea.

All decisions and actions are taken into account on judgment day, and Allah will also take intentions into account.

'No severer of womb - relationships ties will ever enter paradise'.(Hadith) Their actions will affect Akhirah

Some Muslims may say that aborting due to disablilty is never allowed as these hardships are all part of life's test. Allah knows best and if someone is diabled, the reasons will be revealed on Judgment Day and will be rewarded

'Whosover has spared the life of a soul, it is as though he has spared the life of all people. whoesover has killed a soul, it is as though he has murdered all mankind' (Qur'an) There is always a purpose to birth.

All Muslims must submit to Allah's will and they must raise children if that is a part of his will too Abortion for economic reasons is strictly haram

'Do not kill your children for fear of want...killing them is a great sin'
