Things that move must be moved by something

Cannot move themselves

Things = evidently in motion I.e Time

Cannot be an infinite chain of movers — there must be a first mover = this is God

Nothing can be its own efficient causer

Cause must come before effect

The first uncaused causer = God

Third Way
Matter in the Universe = contingent

It didn’t always exist

There is something that has always existed that caused the universe

That is God — his existence = necessary
