Baroque
Scarlatti - classical sounding music, mostly binary form and written for harpsichord. Handel - long, elaborate pieces of music that often required many singers, best known for his English oratorios (an opera without the costumes and scenery.

Beethoven - heavier and darker feel than Haydn or Mozart. Mozart - wrote in almost every major genre, including symphony, opera, the solo concerto, chamber music and the piano sonata. Haydn - fluid form of phrasing, each part has its own integrity.
