Describe the function a white blood cell
FUNCTION - protects the body from infection.
1 of 12
What is the structure of a white blood cell?
It changes shape very easy which allows it to squeeze through walls of blood vessels to get to the infection tissues.
2 of 12
Describe the function of a motor neurone.
Motor neurons transfer electrical impulses form the nervous system to the organs and muscles.
3 of 12
Describe the function of a sensory neurone.
To carry signals (electrical impulses) from the sense organs to the nervous system.
4 of 12
Explain how a neuron is adapted to its function.
There are many branched endings which electrical impulses can be send to many cells.
5 of 12
Does the red blood cell have a nucleus?
No.
6 of 12
Does the white blood cell have a nucleus?
Yes.
7 of 12
Do both sensory and motor neurons have receptors?
No. Only the sensory neurone.
8 of 12
What does the cell wall do?
It provides support and shape to the plant cell.
9 of 12
What are vacuoles filled up with?
Sap and nutrients.
10 of 12
What is the function of the red blood cell?
It contains haemoglobin to carry oxygen that is transported to the blood.
11 of 12
What are the three parts that plant cell have and animals don't?
Vacuole, Chloroplast and cell wall.
