This means not having intercourse at all

RHYTHMICAL METHOD

MONITORING THE MENSTRUAL CYCLE
a woman's body temperature usually rises very slightly more liquid. She should avoid intercourse at this time and for about a week afterwards, as there is likely to be an egg in the oviduct that could be fertilized.

USING AN IUD (INTRA-UTERINE DEVICE)
this is a loop or coil of plastic or copper that is placed inside the uterus by a doctor. It reduces the chances of sperm swimming through the uterus to the oviducts.

CONTRACEPTIVE PILL
contains hormones that reduce the chance of ovulation taking place.

IMPLANT OR IMPLANTATION
These also provide hormones that reduce the chance of ovulation taking place. Whereas a woman must remember to take the pill every day, an implant or injection lasts for a long time.
