a type of chemical reaction in which two molecules are joined together by means of covalent bond to form a larger molecule. water is released

not strong, forms some polar molecules - one part is slightly positive the other is slightly negatively charged e.g. water ( some polymers thousands of hydrogen bonds can form helping to stabilise the structure of the molecule)
