How many kidneys does the body have?

What does the kidney do?
It removes excess water, salts and urea from the body.

How does the kidney work?
Filtering all small molecules out of the blood then selectively reabsorbing useful molecules.

How does a healthy kidney produce urine?
Filters blood - reabsorbes all sugar - reabsorbes dissolved ions - reabsorbs as much water as body needs - releases urea.

What is in Urea?
Excess ions and water.

Where is Urea Tempoarly stored?
In the bladder before being excreted.
