What is an attachment?
An emotional bond between two people, two way, lasting and leads to certain behaviours

What is reciprocity?
Responding to an action with a similar action

What is interactional synchrony?
The tendency to mirror what a conversational partner is doing e.g. posture, facial expression, emotion etc.

What is an example of a study on interactional synchrony?
Meltzoff and Moore (1977). A dummy was placed in a childs mouth to stop them making a facial expression, an adult made one of three facial expressions at them and upon removal of the dummy the infant tended to copy the expression

What is a limitation of research into this field?
It is entirely possible that they are just imitating whatever the adult is performing and it would be equally probable that they would imitate a different behaviour, rather than following a social etiquette
