Agentic Shift can occur at any time as shown in the My Lai Massacre. Soldiers were in the agentic state when they were told to kill any civillians by Lt Calley, however they switched to the Autonomous state when they began to **** women.

Explain one weakness of Agency Theory
Obedience is more complex than Agency Theory because it does not explain individual differences. Disobedience can occur because of many reasons such as personality/gender/situation.

Explain another weakness of Agency Theory
Agency Theory is difficult to define and measure. According to Milgram, Agency is a state of mind that we switch too when given an order by an authoritative figure. It is an internal mental process.
