self medication - there are different forms of medication that people choose to take like alcohol,drugs, binge eating , gambling and smoking, they do this to treat the psychological symptoms they get to treat anxiety from not having the forms.

its the role of irrational beliefs. The gambler believes that they can manipulate the 'beat the system' they truly believe they make them win the game, but it is a game of luck.

recall bia. They siffer from recaall bias, they remeber and overestimate their wins while forgetting about their losses they have had. They think winning is down to their skill and will be eventually rewarded for their efforts.
