State the effect that an inductor has on an a.c. circuit.
It causes the current to lag the voltage. + It also provides opposition to current flow in a.c. circuits.
1 of 5
State the effect that a capacitor has on an a.c. circuit.
It causes the current to lead the voltage. + It also blocks the current flow in d.c. circuits.
2 of 5
State why we can never get a pure resistor or inductor, although we get fairly close with a capacitor.
There will always be some resistance in inductors, and the resistance between the plates of a capacitor will be less than infinity.
