Graphs

We use conversion graphs to change from one unit to the other. Conversion graphs always are straight lines.

A rule written out in algebra is a formula.

REMEMBER THAT...

you don't write:

t= 3 x m

it is correct for a formula to be written like this:

t=3m

am stands for ante meridian (before noon)

pm stands for post meridian (after noon)

Timetables buses and trains usually use the 24 hour clock.

You can enter times in your calculator by using the DMS or ° ' "  keys.

Time is shown along the horizontal axis. Distance is always shown on the vertical axis.
