The Kapp Putsch (1920)
- Allies insisted that the two brigades of Freikorps be disbanded
- One of the brigades led by General Luttwitz marched into Berlin with Wolfgang Kapp (a journalist who hated Friedrich Ebert for signing the Treaty)
- The soldiers took control of Government buildings and the Government was forced to flee to Dresden
- Kapp announced a new national Government
- Ebert called on the army to stop the revolution but they refused "TROOPS DO NOT FIRE ON TROOPS"
- Instead, Ebert called the workers in Berlin to go on strike; this brought the five-day revolt to an end
