The condition of the Church


Most significant Protestant critic of the Church in Eng before 1529 was William Tyndale, another humanist and scholar.
He was strongly influenced by Lutheran ideas after Martin Luther published the 95 Theses, an event that marked the start of the reformation in G.

Tyndale widely crictised the church for its poor quality of the clergy, the scale of indulgences, the doctrine of purgatory
