One of the most popular ways to control fertility is the contraceptive pill. This pill contains the female hormone oestrogen, the hormones affect your ovaries, preventing them from releasing the egg. The pill stops the production of FSH so no eggs mature in the ovary. Without mature eggs, you can't get pregnant.
