One of the most popular ways to control fertility is the contraceptive pill. This pill contains the female hormone oestrogen, the hormones affect your ovaries, preventing them from releasing the egg. The pill stops the production of FSH so no eggs mature in the ovary. Without mature eggs, you can't get pregnant. 

Fertility Treatments: 

There are many reasons for infertility, it could be linked to a lack of female hormones. Some women may want children but don't make enough FSH to stimulate the eggs in the ovaries. Fortunately, artificial FSH can be used as a fertility drug it makes the eggs mature in the ovaries and triggers oestrogen production
