- Provinces were the Roman territory outside of Italy.
- The Roman provinces made them such a large power.
- Provinces in the 50s/60s were added by Caesar and Pompey.
- The whole province system was designed to gain wealth and supplies from other places.
- The governors of these provinces did not interfere with people's religions/cultures.
