The Carbon Cycle

• Carbon is present in all living organisms
• The carbon cycle is the processes caron goes through to be recycled
• When an organism dies the carbon is recycled so it can be used by future generations

Steps in the Carbon Cycle

1) Respiration and Combustion cause carbon to be released into the atmosphere as carbon dioxide

2) The carbon dioxide is absorbed by producers to make carbohydrates in photosynthesis

3) As animals eat the plants they pass the carbon compounds…
