Quantitative approach: This approach, knowns as positivm argues that sociologists should only study observable phonomena (something you can evaluate in reality). Emilie Durkheim (1865 - 1917) pioneered this approach with his statistical study of suicide. > Quantitavie basically means numbers and social facts, for example, correlations, graphs, etc.
Qualitative approach: where as the quantitiave approach is through numberical data and statistics, the qualitataive approach is favorited by more subjective sociologists. The Qualitative approach is basically word centred data.
Representitaveness: Reaserch is representitave if the data collected can represent the whole population. If the data does not have any close charecteristics or the same proportions then its not possible for a generalisation to be made of…
