Stem Cells

Stem cells are cells that can differentiate into many types of cells. 

There are three kinds of stem cells:

1). Embryonic stem cells - taken at a very early stage of division

     Uses - replacing or repairing brain cells to treat people with Parkinson's, Replacing damaged          cells in the retina to treat some kinds of blindness, growing new tissue in the lab to use for              transplant and drug testing
