Seciation is when one species becomes two populations of the same species become so different that they cannot produce fertile offspring.
They become different via isolation:
- Happens due to a physical barrier that isolates some individuals from the main population.
- Conditions on either side of the barrier may be different so charactersistics may be different, this causes speciation via natural selection.
- The individuals will have to change so that they are better suited to their enviroment to give them a better chance of suurvival so that they can reproduce.
