SOCIAL NETWORK THEORY =
Social structure made of individuals linked by one or more connections. Either consisting of a closed network: someone who's contacts know eachother, or an open network: someone who's contacts don't know eachother.
DENSITY =
If a persons network are in contact with eachother. Closed networks are of a high density.
MULTIPLEXITY =
Number of ways in which two individuals may relate to eachother.
LESLEY MILROY =
Investigated 3 working class areas facing unemployment and the intergration of community and how individuals spoke. Awarded a Network Strength Score based upon one's social knowledge of the community, and measured use of non/standard variables.
