Religious Attitudes to Death and Life After Death

Christianity 

• Sancity of life - all life is God given therefor it is sacred 
• "You shall not murder' - Exodus 20:13
• 'I your lord give you life and I take it away' - Old testament
• Roman catholics belive in purgatory before death 
• Parable of the sheep and the goats - Matthew 25;31-46 
• Catholic church belive that life should be respected from conception to natural death 
• Jesus suffered on the cross 
• Christians believe their soul lives on after death 
• "I am the resurrection and the life. He who belives in me will live, even though he dies" - John 11:25 
• 'For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.' - John 3:16

Life after death:

Christians belive in the phycical ressurection of the body. At death, the body waits until judgement day. Catholics call this purgatory. At judgment, each person will face God to evaluate their deeds. If they were good in life they will go to heaven, which is paradise and wonderful forever. If they were bad, they will go to hell for eternal punishment.
