Roles and men and women

The Bible: wives submitting to their husbands "Wives submit to your husbands at to the Lord." Ephesians 5:22-23

Jesus: followers were women and were treated equally but apostles should be men

Christians: men and women should have equal roles in the family

Church: women can be ordained as ministers (Protestant and CoE, not RC or Orthodox)

Marriage

The Bible: "And the two will become one flesh," Mark 10:7-8

Faith: values marriage, reflects union of Jesus and his followers, purpose - love and  mutual support and procreation

Jesus: lifelong union, contract of two people (commitment and responsibility)
