Sampling- selecting part of a target population for research purposes
Random Sampling- everyone has an equal chance of getting picked e.g. Names out of a hat
Opportunity Sampling- when people volunteer themselves to take part in the study knowing what it consists of e.g. Newspaper advertisements
Stratified sampling- the target population gathered and a random sample from this
Systematic sampling- every tenth person on a list
Quota sampling- similar to stratified but opportunity is used
Reliability- a measure of consistency within a set of scores over time
