Problems facing Prime Ministers & Monarchs in 1783

Primarily there were two main problems which faced Prime Ministers and Monarchs in 1783 and that was the damage that the American War of Independence caused and the trouble caused by the political changes in 1782-3. However there were smaller more direct issues which did also link in with the two main problems and these were:

• Britain was isolated in Europe and its finances were in a perilous state.
• Demands for Radical Parliamentry Reform which were of course rejected countless times.
• Successive Governments did not have the Kings…
