Beta-Blockers
- Beta-blockers reduse activation of the cardiovascular system by slowing down activity in the Sympathetic branch of the ANS by reducing levels of Adrenaline and Noradrenaline.
- They work by reducing heartrate, blood pressure and overall cardiac output.
- Beta-blockers are also used to control Hypertension, Angina and reduce Migraine attacks.
- They are not addictive.
- Examples include Propranolol & Oxprenolol.
