Write about What the character's Trying to Do.

Make it clear you understand the character's purpose. Make sure you mention who they're trying to persuade and what it is they're persuading them to do.

In Act 2 Scene 3, Friar Lawrence is surprised about Romeo's love for Juliet, reminding him that he used to love Rosaline and seems to have forgotten her fairly quickly. Romeo responds by convincing the Friar of his genuine love for Juliet, and says that he wants the Friar to marry them.
