Nazi- Soviet Pact

Stalin knew that Hitler was soon going to invade Russia. He had joined the league of nations hoping it would guarantee its security against Germany. However after he saw Mussolini successfully invade Abyssinia he saw the league was powerless.

Stalin signed a treaty with France but he didn't rely on them, particularly when they failed to stop Hitler…
