Law Commission
Law commissioners are a group of people who work in law e.g. judges, solicitors, who propose to parliament what laws need to be changed.
The law commission was set up in 1965 under the Law Commissions Act 1965
Which laws they have successfully changed:
- The Care Act 2014
- The Land Registration Act 2002
- The Children Act 1989
- The Bribery Act 2010

Composition:
All commisioners are legally qualified.
Public Inquiries:
Role of public inquiries:
Inquiries Act 2005 allows a public inquiry to be set up if an event occurs and there is public concern over that act. Only be set up by the government.
