AIM: to compare drug treatment and non-drug treatments for depression

SAMPLE: 529 women with depression

METHODOLOGY: research review (content analysis) of 9 articles, published between 1974 - 1992, independent groups design on 2 different groups:

  • women who had just recieve single treatment, e.g. just drug treatment or just psychotherapy treatment
  • women who had recieved a combination of both therapies

PROCEDURE: depression was measured using depression inventories (psychometric tests) before,
