Empirical Formula

Step1- List all the elements in the compound

Step 2- Underneath them, write their experimental masses or percentages

Step 3- Divide each one by their relative atomic mass 

Step 4- Turn the numbers you get into a simple ratio by multiplying/dividing them 

Step 5- Get the ratio in the simplest form
