The lif cycle of a star.

1. Stars are formed from clouds of dust and gas.

2. These particles gather together because of gravity. As more and more gases join the cloud becomes more concerntrated and this is what forms a protostar.

3. This protostar ( remember like 'prototype' being the first of something ) becomes denseR and hotter. When it is hot enough then nucleur fusion will take place. Hydrogen nuclei and other light atoms fuse.

4. In this fusion process energy is released and the core of the star gets very hot and starts to shine.
