Life Cycle of Stars

HideShow resource information

Stars form when enough dust and gas clump together because of gravatational forces. Nuclear reactions relase enegry to keep stars hot. Stable stars like our sun go through many stages within their lifetime. They go through many stages such as: red giants, white dwarfs, neutron stars and black holes. The fate of a star depends on how much matter it contains.

Formation of a Star - Stars form form from massive clouds of dust and gas in space. Gravity pulls all the dust and gas together. As this happens it get's hot. When it becomes hot enough for nuclear reactions to take place a star is formed. This relases enrgy and keeps the star hot.

During it's main sequence of the life cycle o the star, the star is stable because the forces…
