Happisbugh (Norfolk)

The cliffs are made of softer, permeable rock meaning the coastline is easier to erode. There are conflicting views between residents from Happisburgh and other costal area as well as the local council and tax payers.

Happisburgh residents:

  • They believe that money should be invested in sea defences along their stretch of coast to slow down the rate of erosion.
  • This will save money as local buissnesses and homes will be saved and there will be no need for demolition.
