At birth we can tell the sex of a child by the genitals - primary sexual characteristics. At puberty your body changes to one of a sexually mature adult.

At puberty your sex hormones cause your secondary characteristics to develop

Males:

  • Voice breaks
  • Hair grows on face/body
  • Body becomes more muscular
  • Genitals develop
  • Testes start making sperm

Females:

  • Breasts develop
  • Pubic hair…
