Biodiversity in general means the variability among living organisms from all sources. Biodiversity can be categorised into three types.

Genetic diversity- the diversity of genes found within a species. genetic variability among individuals or populations can determine the degree of resistance to pests and diseases. the larger the gene pool the more mutations occur so there are more adaptations to combat diseases and climate change. 

Species diversity- the variety of plant and animal species in a given area, it is basically a measure of species richness. diversity of species boosts resilience to withstand threats such as climate change…
