Why is the demand for food increasing?

The main reason is because the worlds population is growing rapidally. The demand for food is simply increased because there is more people to feed.

Transporting food from thousands of food miles from the orginal tropics it was grown leaves behind a carbon footprint. A carbon footprint is the the emission of carbon left behind from oil rigs and the method of transport eg. air cargo.

Most developed countries grow food on a mass scale in greenhouses rather than naturally. This is not sustainable either as it emits carbon emission.

People in developed countries are encouraged
