Fahrenheit 451 and 1984

Fahrenheit 451 published 1951 by Ray Bradbury. Set in America, Books are illigal, firemen burn any books that are found. Protagenist is Guy Montag. At first loves his job but then begins to question the value of his profeesion and then his life. He then stuggles with his existance and finally leaves the society and joins and underground group of interlecctuals. 

Makes friends with his next door neighbor who makes him question like. Then relizes he is unhapy and dosen't love his wife. His wife dosen't want ot change/deal with reality. Continues to imerse herself in televison radio  and tranquilizers. 

Then reported there could be an impeanding atmoic war, society is not concerned. Montag turns to books and wonders why they are considerd dangerous and why others are so loyal to them. 

Montag then steals a book, from a plie he is supposed to be burning the old lady who owns them sets her fire on fire and dies with the books. Relises he has been destroying the society around him. Montag feels ill after the old ladies death. Then finds his next door neighbor has also been killed by a speeding car, feels worse then goes to sleep with book. 

He calls in sick his boss visits him and thinks he contains a book then lectures him on books and how they hold evidence of when people were allowed to think freely. His wife tidies his bedroom while his boss visits and finds the book. She does not give her husband up but asks Montags boss what happens if you bring a book home.  They are allowed to…
