  • NJDB vs UK appeal against decision not to grant him legal aid for a child custody case, appeal was refused 
  • Voting rights for UK  prisoners 2015, prisoners appealed to get the vote, UK just refused 
  • Uk still sovereign so can technically refuse the courts decision if parliament agrees
  • However all 17 countries in the eu have to comply
  • Dosent matter anyway as we will be leaving in 2019 after the result of the 2016 election 
  • However we are still technically under their jurisdiction for now
