Key Definitions for Attribution Theory

Locus of casualty - the internal/external factors that a performer believes caused an event or outcome.

Stability dimension - the stable/unstable factors that a performer believes caused an event or outcome.

Locus of control - the extent to which a perfomer believs that the outcome was within their control (or not).

Attributions - the factors we believe have contributed to the outcome of a sporting contest.
