Constipation
Who is it for? How old is the patient? (adult/child)
What are their symptoms? What is their normal bowel movement?
- Bowel frequency reduced below normal for the individual.
- Stools are harder than normal.
- Abdominal bloating or discomfort.
How long have the symptoms been present?
- Constipation lasting 6 weeks or more is said to be chronic. If the patient suffers from longstanding constipation and has previously been seen by the GP then treatment could be given.
