Most of the food we eat is from other living organisms.

The organisms are made of the same biological molecules as humans - fats, proteins and carbohydrates.

Most fats are made of glycerol and 3 fatty acids

Most fats are made of one molecule of glycerol and 3 fatty acids attatced, these are called triglycerides.

Proteins and some carbohydrates are polymers.

Polymers are made by joining together lots of smaller molecules called monomers
