Plant cloning
Plant cuttings:
1.Small peices of a plant (often the leaves or stem) are cut away.
2. These cuttings are placed within the right conditions needed to grow a plant:
- In the presence of oxygen
- Provided with a water supply
- Provided with a light source
- Given nutrients from the agar jelly
Or, the plant cuttings may be placed into a rooting powder (containing plant hormones and nutrients).
3. Small plants grow identically to the plant of which cuttings were taken
