Projects

Rural Women's Empowerment

Problem:

  • Few opportunities for Ethiopian women to make money
  • They therefore have a lower quality of life and struggle to afford things ilke healthcare

What's being done:

  • Women are given training and livestock to start farming
  • Local schemes have been set up to help women start small businesses like coffee shops
  • Women are given legal training to be able to advise other women of their rights

Prosopis Management

Problem:

  • Prosopis is a plant that was introduced by the government to stabilise soil
  • Prosopis is now a pest - it
